Keyhole sessions 080911

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Went life drawing at Keyhole Sessions yesterday. Keyhole Sessions is a life drawing session in Toronto that is more risque than the usual classical life drawing. They typically have 1 to 3 models in a variety of outfits (or lack thereof) doing poses. Last night’s theme was ‘shag’ so it was a bit more shagedelic than normal. The girl wearing the handlebar moustache standing in for the ‘man’ wierded me out a bit (not the girl, but she was a nice slim girl and the moustache provided too much juxtaposition!)

Clicky click the image above to see the sketches in more detail.

Koi Goddess

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

An illustration conference is probably the only conference where you can attend a talk, get bored, and, like half the other people in the room, whip out your sketchbook and draw and not get frowned upon by fellow attendees. Anyway, during a boring talk, I finished up this sketch.

Fried eggs and magazines

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

I was sketching in my other style, the one that is simpler and more stylized, and wondering if I should develop more work in this style.

Deer Forest

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

More fun with armless people. And deer. I am taking a liking to deer, they are scary.

Meat Puppet

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

More drawing during boring talks. I added the slab of meat after I drew the girl then made her a puppet and thought it was a funny title.
